Our Services.

  • Surveying, Inspection Reports & Validation

We attend your property shortly following the peril event (or when you decide you need assistance), thoroughly inspect and survey the building for all insurance related damage, ensuring all damage, further risks, mitigation and building regulations that apply are not missed and are dealt with diligently and professionally. We provide evidence-based inspection reports identifying insured damage, making recommendations to you and the insurer on protocol to follow to move forward with the claim requirements.

  • Specification of Works

Following our initial survey report, we compile a detailed Schedule of Works (SOW), tailored to insurance criteria, ensuring that all the repairs that your policy cover is in place for, is included. We then issue the SOW to you and insurers for approval of it’s content. Our experience, knowledge and relationship with insurers forms a crucial step of your insurance claim.

  • Contractor Nomination, Estimating and Tendering

This step of the claim is where either insurers, yourself or our contractor network (or sometimes all 3 parties) nominate typically a contractor to bid and cost SOW, this is known as estimating or competitive tendering. Generally 3 contractor tender returns are requested by insurers, however on large loss claims, insurers may request 4 contractor returns for greater competitiveness. Once contractors costs are received by CPS, these are reviewed and we raise any queries that may be necessary to ensure that the costs are checked, competitive, commercially viable and conform to any time restraints that may need to be considered on the claim. On completion of tendering, we issue a Tender Report which recommends the approval of one of the contractors tender return costs and is passed to insurers to approve.

  • Project Management & Contract Administration.

Upon insurer approval and your agreement for us to formally appoint a contractor to carry out the work, we act as Contract Administrators, whereby we hold a pre-contract meeting (PCM), issue meeting minutes, attending the property during work at intervals for example when a new roof is installed on brickwork is complete. Furthermore, at stages when contractors require stage payments for work completed to date (known as Valuations), throughout the progress of work being carried out to check quality of work, near to completion to identify any snagging required and on completion to sign off the project.

The alternative option you have instead of CPS formally managing a contractor on site, is for the approved contractor sums to be paid out in full to you, known as a cash settlement, whereby you can then manage the repairs yourself. Either decision you choose, we fully support to ensure the best outcome for you, your family or business is achieved.

“I had a leak in my en-suite upstairs bathroom recently, which was incredibly stressful, but Elliott made the entire insurance claim process so much easier. From the very beginning, he was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely empathetic. He took the time to explain every step clearly, answered all my questions with patience, and followed up consistently to make sure everything was moving forward smoothly.  Thanks to Elliott’s support, what could have been a drawn-out and frustrating experience turned out to be manageable and even reassuring. It’s rare to find someone who not only does their job well but also truly cares about the people they’re helping. I’m so grateful for his assistance and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone dealing with an insurance claim. Thank you, Elliott”
